HIV/AIDS Awareness & Education
Real Love Outreach to Victims of Exclusion
(RLOVE)
HIV/AIDS is the leading cause of death for African American women aged 25 to 34. Women are increasingly affected by AIDS. In 1985, five percent of new AIDS cases in the U.S. were among women and girls ages 13 and older. By 2005, it was 27 percent. In addition, more young African American males are being documented with HIV/AIDS. At JCC, we strive to educate our community about the HIV/AIDS epidemic through periodic awareness and prevention seminars/workshops.
We also reach out to those who are affected by HIV/AIDS to serve and minister to them in any way possible. We want to be a place where they can experience Jesus Christ and experience real love.
